AIRCRAFT DEPARTED BGR, TEMPERATURE THE PREVIOUS RIGHT AND DAY WERE CLOSE TO FREEZING. AIRCRAFT RETURNED WITH FUEL SMELL IN COCKPIT. INVESTIGATION FOUND LT FUEL CROSSFEED LINE HAD SPLIT. UPON REMOVAL OF LINE, PRESENCE OF WATER WAS FOUND. PROBABLE ...
TURBOCHARGER UNABLE TO BOOST MANIFOLD PRESSURE. REMOVED TURBOCHARGER AND FOUND EXCESSIVE CLEARANCE BETWEEN T-WHEEL AND HOT SECTION HOUSING. INCORRECT PARTS ASSEMBLED INTO A COMPLETE UNIT. INSPECT PRODUCT PRIOR TO RELEASING TO SERVICE.
AEROQUIP HOSE, STEEL BRAIDED G01, THAT GOES TO THE NOSE GEAR ACTUATOR DEVELOPED A LEAK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HOSE ASSEMBLY, RESULTING IN LOSS OF HYDRAULIC FLUID. AIRCRAFT WAS UNABLE TO LOWER THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR, DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS MINOR.
ENGINE OIL PRESSURE LOW (25 PSI MAX). COULD NOT FIND OBVIOUS CAUSE, SO REMOVED ENGINE FROM AIRCRAFT. DISASSEMBLED SUMP AND ACCESSORY CASE. FOUND MAG DRIVE CUSHION LODGED IN PICK-UP TUBE RESTRICTING OIL FLOW. REMOVED AND RE-ASSEMBLED ENGINE.
CONTACTOR FAILED CLOSED (WELDED?). SUBMITTER STATED THIS CAUSED STARTER TO EVENTUALLY FAIL, GROUNDED, CLOSED DOWN ENTIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. NO INCIDENT OCCURRED BECAUSE PILOT RETURNED SAFELY AND SKILLFULLY.
