Professionally built in 1972 by Tallmantz Aviation in California for the 1975 Hollywood production of “The Great Waldo Pepper” starring Robert Redford. Designed and constructed using the original Sopwith drawings. A regardless of cost exercise to meet tough film production requirements.
Flown by the legendary aerobatic pilot Art Scholl. Many other movies, international air shows, TV commercials to its credit.
Engine Warner Scarab 165 hp radial - starter, full electrical system, Trig 8.33 VHF. Brakes, tail wheel etc.
275 hours TT engine & airframe - only 6 hours since major overhaul & re fabric.
