AT Aviation are proud to present G-BBYB, Piper Super Cub. Originally built under the MDAP (Military Defense Aid Program) through NATO for the U.S. Army, this iconic L-18C was later shipped to France and operated as 18-1627 by the Aviation Légère de l’Armée de Terre. Following service in Holland, it was brought to the UK, where it flew with several distinguished owners—including the renowned Tiger Club.
This aircraft underwent a comprehensive engine and airframe restoration in 2014–15, which included a complete re-fabric using synthetic materials with a dope finish. Featuring all-metal wings and fuselage, it benefits from sealed wing struts, twin fuel tanks (up to 8-hour range). The engine has 1618 hours and It can run on UL91 or 100LL. G-BBYB is equipped with a Trig 8.33 kHz radio.
